La Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the Golden Globe Awards nominees for the 78th edition.

The 78 ° Golden Globe will take place on 28 February, coast to coast from 17:00 all 20:00 PT / 8-11 ET on the NBC broadcaster. Netflix was the most successful movie distributor, receiving 22 nomination (Besides 20 for the TV section). Amazon seconded with seven nominations, followed by Focus, Searchlight, Sony and Disney (all with five).

Three women entered the shortlist of five for best director: Regina King, Chloé Zhao ed Emerald Fennell (along with David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin).

It is the first time that more than one female director has been nominated at the same time and so now the total number of women nominated in the category is eight..
