For a long time there was no mention of the fate of the Cannes Film Festival 2020. Today, Finally, we know something more about the fate of one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the world. After the unprecedented cancellation of the 73rd Cannes Film Festival due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Delegate General Thierry Fremaux opens up on how he feels on the eve of what should have been the opening week of the festival, originally scheduled for 12-23 May.

Frémaux also talks about the projects for the Official Selection 2020, of what the event plans to do to support cinema in the coming months, and his hopes that Spike Lee can take on in 2021 the role of president of the jury.
