Il LUX PRIZE 2015 the film will MUSTANG

Verdict almost predictable on winning film which comes from Turkey who until recently was one step away from the entrance between 28 US Countries of Europe. L'Europe, then sends a strong signal to the turkish government Ergodan on the policies implemented concerning the freedom of a nation that is at the crossroads of two cultures that face. However the other two films in competition had what it takes to claim the prize. Mostly Mediterranea, other work before, speaking dell'attualissimo topic of migration to Europe for hundreds of thousands of human beings because of the wars. But like any jury verdict may like it or not.

And 'the story of five young women who are determined and who want to escape from a patriarchal society and hypocritical. So said the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and announced the winning film and adding. The sensitivity for diversity that the award helps to highlight is of great importance; we must be ready to defend what we do and who we are, which it is something to be defended by the destruction of young people hidden behind their false ideologies, referring to the current wave of terror that is sweeping Europe.

Mustang is the real revelation of the Fortnight 2015 at the Cannes Film Festival, but also nominated for EFA 2015 and it's  nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film for France. Mustang shows us five orphan sisters of both parents living in the North of Turkey and as their birthplace gradually becomes for them in a prison because religious intransigence (ed: actually pseudoreligiosa) against women.
The prize , assigned on the basis of the vote by MEPs, It intends to celebrate diversity and socially relevant topics of European cinema. The film was chosen among the trio of finalists as the best to highlight these features. Until January 2016 The three finalists will be screened during the LUX Film Days in the halls of the Members Countries and subjected to the public vote in the hall. At the most votes will then be awarded the LUX Prize Public Mention.
At the awards ceremony, held in front of Starsburgo plenary session was followed by a seminar for the press and a series of conferences among which the one on education for film culture or the need to get the foundation of a common language across the European film. Another interesting lecture concerns precisely the Lux Prize: the films on current topics such as teaching instruments of a culture of democracy. Numerous appearances in the world of culture and politics including Costa Gravas, Silvia Costa and the three directors of the finalist films.
