J.K. Rowling: the first work of the series, realized in 2001 and seven BAFTA nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best original soundtrack at the 74th Academy Awards, now marks the debut of the "Harry Potter Film Series Concert" a world tour of Cine-concert launched by CineConcerts and Warner Bros. Consumer Products since last June and has already recorded the sold-out Hollywood Bowl and all the most important theaters in which it was announced.
The Italian tour, which will involve the stage 80 musicians O.I.C., show to enthusiasts potteriani ambitious plans to resubmit each film in the series based on the format "Cine-Concert". The Italian Film Orchestra (O.I.C.) è il primo ensemble sinfonico italiano ad essersi dedicato esclusivamente all’interpretazione di colonne sonore.
L’Orchestra è nata nell’ambito del Forum Music Village, lo storico studio di registrazione fondato alla fine degli anni Sessanta da quattro pietre miliari della musica da film: Ennio Morricone, Piero Piccioni, Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov. Suo obiettivo è quello di promuovere in tutto il mondo la straordinaria eredità musicale delle colonne sonore di film sia italiani che internazionali.
Impegnata su un vasto programma di colonne sonore, l’Orchestra presta una particolare attenzione al repertorio storico italiano, e grazie alla collaborazione di esperti del settore ha recuperato partiture non pubblicate e/o mai registrate: negli ultimi anni ha infatti effettuato il recupero e il restauro di capolavori con il sostegno di numerose associazioni, fondazioni e archivi pubblici e privati.
Tra i lavori presentati, lo spettacolare concerto multimediale Il suono del Neorealismo, (Roma, Campidoglio square 2010), Cinematology (Beijing International Film Festival, 2011); The Artist (Ravello Festival, 2012); Beyond La Dolce Vita (UCLA Los Angeles, 2013); “In sin(TF)onia con il Futuro” (Arena di Verona, 2014); La febbre dell’oro di Charlie Chaplin (Roma, Auditorium Parco della Musica 2015).
