Synopsis: Italy, 1997. When Clara and Irène, both 17 years old, they meet, They don't look alike at all but they get along wonderfully. They flee together to a distant island off the coast of Sicily to live their summer freely and to hide from a reality they want to forget.

Review:

Country music accompanies a summer trip of some young people in a minibus. But cicadas also have their musical part!

We are in a rehabilitation center for vulnerable young people. It is a relaxing place especially in the shade and coolness of the trees.

Unfortunately we have to point out the minimal quality of the live sound, so much so that the dialogues are most of the time incomprehensible. But this unfortunately happens in many Italian productions.

Clara and Irene get to know each other by the pool and a feeling of sympathy immediately arises between them as they spend their idle hours together.

Irene is of French origins, Clara gives her his phone number so they can see each other again after this short vacation. On the journey back home the two girls decide to move away from the group and as Clare would have liked so much they take a break from reality to go to the seaside on a Sicilian island. Irene is more enterprising than her friend and meets a group of boys and girls. Those who are fragile in health find themselves with other "normal" kids. Clara has some hesitations, but in the end he wants to escape from the reality of having to deal with the disease and together with his new friends they take a boat tour of the island and in the evening they find themselves having fun like many other kids. Clara sympathizes with one of the gentle-mannered young men and it is inevitable that in the evening after a walk they kiss and make love! It is a delicate film that addresses the issue of the illness experienced by two young girls struggling with their first loves who help each other and who enjoy this moment of serenity filmed with an amateur camera without thinking about the future.

The footage of Irene will remain of that carefree summer to bear witness to Clara and Irene's desire to live!
