The Franz Grabner Prize 2023 will be assigned to Diagonal'23 in the film documentary and television documentary categories and features 5.000 euro each – donated by AAFP and ORF. The award is intended for the development of the winner's next project.

The Franz Grabner Prize 2023 will be delivered on Thursday 23 March at 15.00 nel Grand Hotel Wiesler, Salon spring, during a ceremony. The award ceremony is supported by the Federal Ministry of the Arts, of Culture, of public services and sport, because TV fund Austria, by the Filmcommission Graz and dok.at. The opening speech will be given by journalist Köksal Baltaci (The press).

The Franz Grabner Prize will be presented in a ceremony on Thursday, from the AAFP, from the ORF and the Diagonale in memory of the ORF journalist Franz Grabner (1955-2015). The prize is awarded for an ethically and morally responsible and credible approach to the film medium by filmmakers.
