In 2019 the Festival was defined by the Hollywood Reporter (USA) come “the last major festival of the year”, founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini in collaboration with Capri in the World Institute since 1995, chaired by Antonio Lorusso Petruzzi with the support of the Director General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism together with the Campania Region, with the support of the Italian Red Cross, and with the participation of various private sponsors.

This year's exceptional quarter-century celebration will highlight all of the Festival's achievements over the past 25 years and will offer unique opportunities for cultural exchanges, artistic and commercial within the world entertainment industry.

In making the announcement, Vicedomini declared: “Since its inception, Capri, Hollywood has established itself as a major venue for films and artists pursuing major world end-of-year awards. The festival, which traditionally takes place in the heart of winter on the enchanting island of Capri, has secured a well-deserved place in the international entertainment arena, thanks to its ever-increasing focus on the latest film and audiovisual trends and its never-ending commitment to focus on major humanitarian issues “.

“The 25th edition of the Festival takes place at a difficult time for the entire planet. However, the team from the Capri in the World Institute and I have tried to explore new ways and methods to make it happen, embracing cutting-edge digital tools through which they can continue to pursue their passionate promotion of Italy and its talents. , and to keep alive this unique international cinematic conclave that they established and nurtured in the beautiful Gulf of Naples ", Vicedomini added.

The board of the Festival includes beloved Italian and international luminaries such as Lina Wertmuller (honorary president of the Capri Institute in the world), Tony Renis (honorary president of the Institute), Marina Cicogna, Enrico Lucherini, Franco Nero, Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Enrico Vanzina . On another front, Vicedomini and the Capri in the World institute have been able to strengthen the relationship between the Campania region, the island of Capri and the Hollywood community through Los Angeles, Italy Film, Fashion and Art Festival which takes place the week before the Academy Awards at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. During the years, this festival was involved in a complex way in a number of important activities, tra cui l’Academy’s Governors Award for Lifetime Achievement a Lina Wertmuller, who was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019, as well as with additional WOF Stars for a trio of iconic Italian artists – the director Bernardo Bertolucci (2008), the opera singer Andrea Bocelli (2010) and the composer Ennio Morricone (2016).

And so, today as in 1995 and more than ever, we're here to say, long live Capri, long live hollywood, long live the artists and their creations!
