The director was interviewed by the DIRE agency to which he explained the genesis and theme of this latest work.
The path of an artist along the streets of Rome but above all through humanity, in the name of a new neorealist language tuned to the rhythm of today's reality, to send a message of unity and peace that is more than ever necessary now that the world gives the impression of being "about to explode". This is the impression that the short film "The wind under your feet" leaves, latest work by director and actor Kassim Yassin Saleh and produced by Andrea di Nardo's Laser film. To the agency Say the director, born in Djibouti but artistically raised in Italy, a country that claims to feel its own as a homeland, tells how the adventure of this "short - documentary" which follows Monsieur David's day was born, "Foot actor", theatrical artist who through this part of the body expresses his art and his poetics. As a backdrop to Monsieur David's walk, many iconic places in the capital and its relationship with cinema, from the bridge over the Tiber of Pasolini's Accattione to the rides and faces of Federico Fellini. "At the beginning the artist – Saleh explains – leave a rose in the San Lorenzo district, where young Denise was killed, in homage to a life that died too soon ”explains the director.
To permeate the atmosphere of the short, the colors that refer to the old Super films 16, a specific desire of the director, that the Nazarene colorist Neri has transformed into reality. Saleh says the team “was incredible, people who manage to change a film ".
