BIO TO B, THE "BUSINESS" EVENT OF BIOGRAFILM FESTIVAL, IT IS TRANSFORMED INTO AN ONLINE FORUM

FOR CINEMA PROFESSIONALS

With 14 selected projects (4 of Emilia-Romagna production, 5 of Italian production, 5 of European production), 9 female directors and 14 Countries represented, the seventh edition of Bio to B – Doc&Biopic Business Meeting, the Biografilm market aimed at professionals from the international cinema industry.

"

Biografilm Festival takes place with the contribution of the Department of Culture and Landscape of the Emilia-Romagna Region and with the Unipol Group Main Partnership.

The structure of Bio to B 2020

International sales agents, festival programmers, commissioning editor, film commission, film and documentary producers and professionals from all over the world are taking part in Bio to B this year in virtual mode, following the rules that impose social distancing.

The collaboration with the Italian Film Commission Association is renewed, who will participate in the work with numerous operators from the different film commissions of the Italian Regions, also in relation to the important contribution that "regional funds" have made for the development of the documentary in Italy.

Friday 12 is Saturday 13 June, the selected projects will be discussed with industry experts and presented to the accredited public through the zoom platform during the Piching Forum.

Management has selected 14 among the best character driven film and documentary projects. The teams of these projects took part in the Pitching Lab, or 3 days of online training to better prepare your video pitch.

The Pitching Forum will in fact consist of a recorded presentation of the project followed by ten minutes of questions and answers with project scout e decision maker. Among the professionals of the international film industry called to examine the selected projects: Lejla Dedic (Aljazeera Balkans), Hanka Kastelikova (HBO), Sabine bubeck paaz (ZDF / ARTE), Roberto Pisoni (Sky Arte), Jenny Westergard (YLE Co-Production), Sarah Elena Schwerzmann (Arte G.E.I.E.), Sergio Fant (Berlinale), Brigid O’Shea (Head of Industry Dok Leipzig/DAE), Debra Zimmermann (Women Make Movies), Andrea Romeo (Palomar Doc), Anton Calleja (Kingsway), Silvia De Felice (Rai 5), Giacomo Poletti (Mediaset), Markus Nickel (Global Media Consulting).

They will be assigned three cash prizes to support production (1000 euro each) to the three projects chosen by an international jury, which will be announced when the Pitching Forum starts. The prizes will be delivered during the awards ceremony which will take place Monday 15 June at the Pop Up Cinema Medica Palace, for the occasion Biografilm Hera Theater.

The accredited will also have the opportunity to discuss the selected projects individually with pitch teams, through meetings organized by the Bio to B staff to be held on 13 June, in the afternoon.

Al Pitching Forum, during which only the English language will be used, all Industry accredited participants can participate, through a special zoom link that will be sent to them.
