ShorTS International Film Festival 2020:
the section dedicated to children and teenagers returns
The film event, which will take place online
from 4 al 12 July, also confirms for the 21st edition
Shorter Kids’n Teens, the section dedicated to the very young.

Small, great cinema for kids, great jurors: its name is Shorter Kids'n Teens and it is the section dedicated to the very young of ShorTS International Film Festival, the film event that this year from Trieste arrives on the web from 4 al 12 July 2020 thanks to the technical support of MYmovies.
Real "festival within festival", Shorter Kids'n'Teens is made up of two separate juries made up of boys and children, with the aim of making the seventh art known also to a young audience through a section designed especially for them within the historic event of the Julian capital. Even in this delicate historical moment, ShorTS International Film Festival wants future generations to continue growing by cultivating their passions and curiosities with this event dedicated to them, proposing an online version of the historic section dedicated to the very young, which this year will be attended by children and young people from all over Italy.
Also this year the section will be divided into two age groups, with two distinct juries: the Kids section, dedicated to shorts for children from 6 to 10 years, and the Teens section with works for children from 11 to 15 years. So the boys themselves will make up the juries that will decide the winners of the section. The selection 2020 it is composed of works from all over the world, ranging from animation to topical short films, offering stories through which kids can laugh and get excited, fall in love and reflect.
This year the kids will be able to participate in Shorter Kids'n Teens from home, without having to give up feeling part of a group and actively taking part in the project. Using the most sustainable means of shipping, young people registered in the section will receive the participation kit from a rider: a personalized cardboard for pizza, which in the name recalls the historical container used to store the films of the films, with the Festival t-shirt inside, the form to vote for their favorite short film, a coloring postcard and a gadget offered by Estenergy and Gruppo Hera, also this year the Festival's main partner.
The appointment with the Shorter Teens selection will be online on MYmovies on Tuesday 7 July at 18.00, where the young participants will be able to watch the projection of shorts for children from free 11 to 15 years and elect the best. Wednesday 8 July at 18.00 it will be the turn of Shorter Kids: an afternoon of short films for children from 6 to 10 years, during which the young jurors will choose the short winner.
