The banality of another whole Life of Alexander Pondi - review of Marina fearful

In Italian cinemas from 12 September, A totally different Life is the second feature by director Alessandro Pondi.

The development story on stage is to Gianni (played by Brignano, just), a taxi driver obsessed with the lottery, married for years with Lorella (Paola Minaccioni) and perpetually dissatisfied with their lives. Things seem (at least temporarily) change when, after dropping by taxi a couple at the airport and have found their home in the car keys, man enter in their luxurious villa, living, for a few days, a whole new life.

Despite, therefore, that a starting - even wanting to gloss over directorial ingenuity of every kind and questionable acting evidence of secondary characters - in fact seems to have a good look, here, as you go on with the staging, the other director has done nothing to get carried away by any any platitudes, with a lot of highly predictable narrative and obvious implications in screenplay holes (see, eg, characters that come into contact with each other so less focused and excessive narrative ellipses).

E se, at the end of the vision, many may remain puzzled by the same moral of most of the main characters, probably the final solution adopted by the director, wanting, one of the less obvious elements of the entire feature. A feature of which, most likely, after a few months of his stay in the room, very little will remain in the minds of the spectators and, despite the obvious attempts to create something totally new, as hopelessly it ends up looking like a drop of water to the large number of comedies, every year, They are produced in Italy.

It will really nothing, therefore, this whole other Life? Probably, what sets this work is the very good interpretation of Enrico Brignano, enhanced - as well as its proven skill - even from a script that sees the characterization of his character far better managed than the other figures in the film. But this, obviously, not enough to ensure that a work can be said to be truly successful.
