INSIDE THE WAR. A week of films, documentaries and books with free admission.

If you have a Nettuno (Roma) from 23 al 29 July 2018 – a free entry subject to availability - at the picturesque complex Forte Sangallo, the sixteenth edition of War & Pace FilmFest, unique showcase of theaters of war and peace, organized by Seven, under the artistic direction Stefania Bianchi. A week with the projections feature films, documentaries in collaboration with Cinecittà Luce, but also book presentations. The theme this year is "WAR WITHIN ", film actors, documentaries and books to undertake a journey into the war through the stories of men, women, soldiers involved and overwhelmed by the cruelty of the conflict. A path between the visions of the most interesting authors in the national and international film scene, to relive with their own eyes the horrors of conflict and to reflect on the tragedy of war and how the cinema has represented and continues to represent it on the screens, telling its complexities and contradictions, but above all the devastating effects it causes on who makes it and who suffers.

The exhibition this year will open remembering the anniversary of the end of World War I and one of the documentaries presented, in collaboration with Istituto Luce Cinecittà, It will project "The Unknown Soldier Leonardo Tiberi ", the nameless hero and no medals that honors all the fallen of the Great War, e "Winning the War" by Roland Seiko. On show also "Animals in the Great War" of the teacherFolco Quilici Wars that & Peace Film Fest has had the honor of having guest and "My war is not overBruno Bigoni ".

Among the reviewed film starts with a tribute to Maestro Ermanno Olmi with the presentation of his masterpiece The Profession of Arms. Scheduled Insyriated di Philippe Van Leeuw, Lebanon di Samuel Maoz, Land Of Mine Martin Zandvliet, The Water Diviner Russell Crowe, The Battle of Hacksaw Ridge in Mel Gibson. Great movies in which cinema becomes a tool for reflection and discussion, Comparison with history and with the present. A genre cinema that wants to communicate to its viewers the frightening and devastating experience like war.

Among the books presented At the gates of Damascus. Travel in Syria that resists, Sebastiano Caputo (Editions Circle Proudhon), that tells intertwining history and geopolitical conflict in Syria, crossroads of Europe, Asia e Africa, ancient civilization, disputed land since ancient times, which it is returned to the center of political debate in the Middle East due to a total war that has continued for more than four years.

L 'Admiral Ferdinando Sanfelice di Monteforte, with his War and Sea. Conflicts, policy and maritime law (Ugo Mursia Editor) face up, instead, the history of international maritime law, telling the genesis of the rules and highlighting all the gray areas and gaps that the current evolution of the international geopolitical situation is highlighting. Today, as in the past, marine expanses are the border that will direct the peace and welfare of the people, because history teaches that whoever controls the sea controls the land.

Close the program of presentations Why attack us Al Qaeda, the Islamic State and terrorism "DIY", Laura Quadrella Sanfelice di Monteforte (Arachne publishing). Terrorism "DIY" in an analysis – accompanied by a rich photographic documentation – ranging from propaganda jihadist the attacks that homegrown terrorist e foreign fighter return put into practice in the West. In this edition Wars & Peace Film Fest also uses NATO's valuable participation – PUBLIC DIPLOMACY DIVISION that the ATLANTIC COMMITTEE ITALIAN chaired by Prof. Fabrizio Luciolli, will be present at the exhibition. A very prestigious partnership that bears Wars & Peace Film Fest beyond national borders.
