The confrontation between religions is not something to specialists, something that concerns only the scholars, but it concerns everyone's life, because everyone, carrying out normal daily activities, it compares with others, leading natively their religion, their culture. To develop a film proposed in the sign of peace, Tertio Millennio involves representatives of religions - Catholic Community, Protestant, Jewish and Muslim within the Festival Selection Committee and Jury.
The film festival was born in 1997 on the advice of Pope John Paul II, with the desire to plumb the soul, because man is the unique and unrepeatable event of creation, entered into a plan of salvation. A project dotted with obstacles and traps that every person experiences in their lives and that cinema can revive, documenting, lighting up, causing.
As in past editions, even this year, They will be awarded the RdC Awards, The prestigious awards every year the Cinema Magazine attributed to the protagonists of Italian cinema.
The award ceremony will take place on the evening of 15 December.

For the assignment of the new Awards, were organized two Contest.
"Short of identity" is the first short film contest sponsored by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo, as part of the 21st edition of the Tertio Millennio Film Fest, to give voice and enhance the creativity of authors of all ages. The theme is "Identity, Report, Migration". Duration of short films 30 seconds 15 minutes. Maturity 30 November 2017.
Among all the entries will be selected 15 short films including a jury 5 members and chaired by director Francesco Patierno will choose three winners. The awards ceremony will be held on 15 December at the Cinema Trevi in Rome.
