A declaration of love for the landscape, the culture and historical identity of Sicily. An imaginative journey that retraces places already told by cinematographers of the past, in particular by the great masters such as De Seta, Saitta and Quilici to grasp the signs that man has traced in the recent history of the island. The tuna fisheries have become luxury hotels and resorts, the lava of Etna captured by the lenses of the pioneers of the last century and by the cell phones of today's hikers. The heroic work of the mines, the struggle of men and the progress of technology; the theatre, from the magic wood of the puppets to the microphones of the DJ of a shopping centre... The absolute protagonist is time and an island which in its continuous change and evolution claims its immutable identity.
Photography by Irma Vecchio, editing by Edoardo Morabito, music by the Catanian composer Giovanni Scuderi.
